Anazing Bali Culture Park Denpasar

Bali Culture Park Denpasar is also known as Garuda Wisnu Kencana or GWK. It is a very huge cultural park located at the top of the limestone hills in Bali. There is an ongoing project there to build a giant Wisnu who is riding a Garuda statue there. The finished product of the statue will be 126 meters in height with 66 meters wing span of the Garuda. The Cultural park is also know for their beautiful scenery, since you can see almost all of the nearby cities such as Denpasar and Kuta from the top of the hill. GWK is also famous to be used as a venue for various ceremonies and art events.

Accessing the Bali Culture park

Bali Culture Park Denpasar is located 40 kilometers south of Denpasar, bali. To get to the cultural park you will need to follow the road and it will take about fifteen minutes to get there from the nearby airport and about an hour from the nearest hotel districts. You can reach GWK in one and a half hour from Ubud and you will reach it in a bout thirty minutes from Kuta. The only public transportation you can use to reach the cultural park is taxi that you can get in the airport or you can rent a car or motorcycle. You will feel the grandiose of the cultural park the moment you step foot on the one kilometers driveway to get from the gate to the actual park. You will also be entertained by the grand limestone pillars that are arranged along the entrance road.

What to do in the Cultural Park

Aside from enjoying and admiring the natural scenery of Bali and its limestone hills from the top of the hill, you can also enjoy the many limestone sculptures of the Hindu gods and goddesses that are located in various places at the park.
