Goa Lawah, Bat Cave Klungkung Destination
The Bat Cave Klungkung destination is one of the most famous tourist destinations in Bali. The cave
is located in the east of Semarapura and the locals call it Goa Lawah. The case
is inhabited of thousands of baths and there is also a Sad Kahyangan pura here
that is very famous that was built back in the eleventh century. Aside from the
bat cave and the historic pura, you can also enjoy the beach around the cave.
The Bat Cave is located on a coral hill and is one of coral hills of the famous

Accessing The Bat Cave
The Bat Cave Klungkung destination is located Klungkung, about 10 kilometers east of Semarapura and
50 kilometers from Denpasar. The road leading to the Bat Cave is wuite straight
forwards. You will have to go along the Prof. Ide Bagus Mantra road from
Denpasar. The journey will only take about an hour with a good traffic. From
Kuta you can also follow the beach route that will take you to Sanur. The
journey from Kuta will take you one to two hours. Unfortunately there is no
public transportation that can get you to the Bat Cave so it would be best for
you to rent a car or motorcycle. There are many vehicle rentals that you can
find all over the town. You can also contact your travel agent and arrange a
plan to visit the Bat cave with them.

Bat Cave
Aside from enjoying the
natural scenery of the Bat Cave and the pura built on the coral hill you can
also enjoy the beach scenery around the cave. However, this beach is not
suitable for you if you want to find a place to lie around and relax since this
beach is a coral beach and the waves are too big to lie around it. If you are a
hunter for cultural and historical destination, the the Bat Cave is the right
destination for you since in certain times every year there are some ceremonies
that are held by the locals at the bat cave. You can come around this time to
witness the ceremony but be warned that the place will likely be packed since
many tourists from around the world will like be there also to witness the Bat Cave Klungkung destination.
